The Staunton Augusta Art Center is hosting a new exhibit, Creative Healing: recent works by clients of mental health services. The exhibit in the second floor lecture hall of the R.R. Smith Center for History and Art (20 S. New Street in historic downtown Staunton) is a collaboration with Western State Hospital, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and Mental Health America of Augusta. In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, the exhibit will run through May 30 and may be viewed 10am-5pm Monday-Friday and 10am-4pm Saturdays. Due to facility scheduling, the exhibit will not be available for brief periods on May 12, 13, 20, and 21; please call ahead (540-885-2028) to check availability on those days. The exhibit is free and open to all.
